Our Story.

The BESS Project is a sister project of the ISALA Project born in Belgium.
ISALA is a successful citizen-science project that has recruited almost 6,000 individuals, and runs several studies that are advancing knowledge about female reproductive health.
The BESS project is based in New Jersey, U.S.A. It's named after Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to obtain a medical degree in the U.S.A and a women’s rights advocate.
